First Floor Concrete Slab Poured for the Nemours Children’s Hospital
On Thursday, December 3, construction manager Skanska USA Building Inc. began pouring concrete on the first elevated floor slab of Nemours Children’s Hospital (NCH) in Lake Nona’s medical city. Work on the first elevated slab will be completed by late January. Construction on NCH began in June 2009 and work on the concrete foundation is complete along with the reseeding of the first of 6 acres with native Florida grasses and vegetation, intended to restore the original habitat.
