Nemours Launches BrightStart! Dyslexia Initiative in Orlando
Nemours recently celebrated the launch of its BrightStart! Dyslexia Initiative mobile classroom at Nap Ford Community School in Orlando by providing a free reading screening to all Pre-K students and hosting a press conference. Community members and parents were invited to tour the mobile unit, review results and learn more about the program. In addition, Dr. Laura Bailet, executive director of Nemours BrightStart! Dyslexia Initiative, hosted an informational workshop following the screenings and mobile unit unveiling.
In honor of the program and in recognition of October as National Dyslexia Awareness Month, Mayor Buddy Dyer proclaimed October as Dyslexia Awareness Month in Orlando during the press conference.
