Nemours Opens Hospital Preview Center

Nemours celebrated the opening of the Nemours Children’s Hospital (NCH) Preview Center in Orlando, Thursday, February 17. Nearly 300 members of the community toured the facility to see what will be the transformation of children’s health care in Central Florida first hand.

Taking part in the ribbon cutting ceremony were Kissimmee Osceola County Chamber Board Member Sue Linn, CPA, Nemours Children’s Hospital CEO Roger Oxendale, District 4 County Commissioner Jennifer Thompson and East Orlando Chamber of Commerce Board Members Katrina Kinnard-Rini and Mike Bosley.

The facility was designed to introduce the new hospital to the community and showcase the transformation of family-centered pediatric care delivery in the 21^st century. The NCH Preview Center will also serve as a test site for technology, equipment and furnishings, as well as a place to recruit quality professionals and support the training and orientation of new hospital personnel. Visitors to the facility will be able to explore full-scale hospital replicas of an outpatient exam room, Emergency Department (ED) room, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) inpatient room and a Medical Surgical inpatient room.

Located at 9145 Narcoossee Road, Suite A102 in Orlando, the NCH Preview Center will be open to the public Tuesday through Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Visitors may schedule group or personal  tours by calling (407) 567-4000.
