Nemours Docs Named Health Care Heroes
Dr. Neal has a passion for working with children and goes the extra mile to ensure each of his patients understands and is comfortable with any procedure they are about to undergo. Dr. Neal takes time to make mission trips to Tatoxcac, Mexico, and as part of the Foundation For Children, he and a group of other Nemours physicians travel each year to treat children at a children’s hospital in the Ukraine.
Dr. Werk is co-director of Nemours’ Healthy Choices Clinic, a program that combats obesity in children. This year, Dr. Werk spearheaded a partnership between Nemours and Orange County Parks and Recreation called Growing Healthy Kids that aims to help encourage healthy eating habits and exercise among children and their families.
